God Sees The Big Picture

A High View

I love looking down from an aircraft.

As the fields take on the look of a patchwork quilt, while rivers meander through towns and mountains alike, yes, the view from above is breathtaking.

There is order.

The Bible says: “Then God saw everything that He had made and indeed it was very good”. Genesis 1:31

Often though, from our earthly viewpoint, the ground perspective is quite different. Streets don’t often run east and west and rivers curve this way and that … in fact, in some places, even trying to navigate with google maps can prove quite daunting.

For sure on earth, things appear more muddled than the view from above, the high view.

I’m thankful that God sees the big picture. He views everything from His high perspective and His plan for us is good. Only good.

He said, “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed”. Psalm 139:16

“You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head”. Psalm 139: 3-5

Which means, nothing in our lives has ever taken God by surprise. Allow me to encourage you: God can, and will, work out everything for our good – if we love Him and strive to do His will.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them”. Romans 8:28

Today’s Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I know your paths are good, I will continue to believe that you will prosper me, never bring me any harm – give me a hope and a future. Help me to live for you and strive to do your known will each day. Amen”.
