The Lord has great plans for you

On occasion, God allows puzzling circumstances to occur in our lives. Things we don’t understand.

Queen Esther in the Bible is a perfect example.

We pick up the story when she was living with her uncle Mordecai. Clearly, something terrible must have happened to her parents, as Esther is being raised by her uncle. Obviously a man of great character, a single guy; stepping up to the plate and raising his niece, Esther.

God was about to bring good out of a situation, that, no doubt to Esther and Mordecai, had once looked bad.

The King in their area was looking for a new queen. The selection process had much to be desired, nonetheless – Esther had no choice but to go to the Palace when summoned.

She stood out amongst the rest …

Once a little orphan girl and now a queen.

Queen Esther.

God was weaving a plan. A decree had been issued which threatened to annihilate her people, the Jews. God had her in the right place at the right time to speak to the King and have the decree reversed. He agreed, and she saved her people.

Since all the stories in the Bible are for our encouragement and instruction – we draw a couple of conclusions from her life.

  1. God sees you – all the time.
  2. He knows what’s going on – at all times.
  3. He brings good out of confusion – in His time.
  4. If we trust Him – we will live to see the “goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” – in time.

God sees all the way to the finish line.

You can trust Him.

For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.  Jeremiah 29:11

 Today’s Prayer:

“Dear Heavenly Father, just like Esther, give me courage Lord to trust in you, even if I cannot see around the corner. I thank you that you give me hope and a future”.
