Dear Mom,
It had been a rainy fall and the field was laden with pumpkins. Usually, as a family, we all gathered them together, but on this particular day no one wanted to help. Irritated, I stomped out to the muddy field myself. I hadn’t gone too far when my foot caught on a pumpkin vine and down I went – head first in the mud. I ate humble pie that day; especially when I walked in the house and past my five kids – all covered in mud! Note to self: don’t do that again.
