Good Weather Always comes after a storm - Noah and God's Promise

Noah and God’s Promise

If you were able to listen in on a conversation between Noah and his family, perhaps you would have heard something like this …

“Father, the deafening sound of continuous rain is grating on our nerves. Please tell us for certain, God told you to do this? Surely by now everyone and every living thing on the earth is gone, there cannot be anyone left, are you sure Dad we will get out of this alive ourselves?”

And Noah replies, “Dear family, I know it’s strange the way God is working. I do not understand the whole plan myself, but I know that I know, He will care for us and we will all walk out of here on dry ground, without incident, one day. God assured me of this and we will trust Him. Do not be afraid, God has his eye on us”.

Can you imagine such a conversation?

Noah and the Ark is a real story, with real people, living in our real world (Genesis 6-8)

Quite remarkable to ponder.

Perhaps you feel like you too are “floating” around, not knowing what is going to happen to next, not today, this month or even this year.

The question, “will I make it?” keeps you awake at night.

Noah simply believed God and trusted Him to bring about His promise.

God knows when the waters in our lives will recede and we too will “walk out on dry ground” as it were. He knows when our situations or problems will be solved.

Our part is to believe what God says, refuse to watch the pounding rain and begin to envision the sun.

Good weather always comes after a storm.

God sees us.

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart”.  Psalm 37:4

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up”. Galatians 6:9

 Today’s Prayer

“Dear Heavenly Father, you are the same God who spoke to Noah that you would bring him through. I know that you can bring me through as well”.
